Living Sectors Summit 2026
The Living Sectors Summit is Australia’s most important event covering the full life cycle of accommodation – build-to-rent, student housing, co-living, land lease, later living and social & affordable housing. The 2nd annual event will bring together developers, operators, investors, financiers, government, urban planners and the AEC sector to discuss all the major issues and to co-create solutions to unlock access to affordable, sustainable and resilient housing through innovation and partnerships.
Australia’s housing challenge has entered a new phase. What was once framed as a problem of demand and supply is now a system-level coordination challenge, requiring tighter alignment between capital, government policy, planning frameworks, delivery capability and long-term operating models.
Across build-to-rent, student accommodation, co-living, retirement living, land lease communities and social & affordable housing, institutional capital is playing a growing role in shaping how housing is funded, delivered and managed. Yet decision-making remains fragmented, with policy ambition, capital deployment, delivery capacity and operational realities often misaligned.
The Living Sectors Summit 2026 exists to address this coordination gap.
